Payment, Cancellation, & Refund Policies

 

Payment

Fees for birth doula services are due in total when your dates are reserved, unless otherwise arranged.

Postpartum doula can be paid in full. Otherwise, I require a deposit of $100 due upon the signing of our contract. This fee holds your spot on my calendar. If you are on a pay-as-you-go plan, payment is due at the beginning of each shift.

I require a 4-hour minimum per visit, and a 4-hour minimum per contract. Your $100 deposit will be applied to your final support visit. If your payment does not clear, you cancel within 24-hours of our scheduled final appointment, or you are not home at the day/time of our appointment and have not notified me in advance, your deposit is non-refundable.

If you are a postpartum client who is continuing care after our birth doula work, your deposit, consultation and prenatal fees are waived.

I accept cash, check and venmo payments, and am happy make arrangements with you for gift cards or ways for your community to contribute directly to my services on your behalf (usually through a baby shower or baby registry).


Back Up Doulas, Cancellation & Refunds

You acknowledge that in some cases, I may not be available during your labor. In this case, a designated back-up doula will be available to you per this contract agreement. You may opt to have them included in one of your prenatal check-ins should you choose those service options.

If you have an extended labor (lasting more than 24 hours), and the doula feels she is unable to support you appropriately due to exhaustion, I reserve the right to call in a backup doula for the remainder of your labor or for a period of time that will allow me to get adequate rest. You have the right to decline the backup doula, but there will be no reduction in fees.

In the event that I or the back-up doula is not able to attend your birth due to my error (within our one-month on-call period), 75% of the fee is refundable. If I or the back up doula misses your birth due to your error or actions, the entire fee is non-refundable.


Rescheduling

We will be scheduling multiple sessions for both pre and postnatal support sessions. I require 48-hrs notice to reschedule your session. Life happens! Thus, I do allow for one “emergency” reschedule with fewer than 48-hrs notice. If you “no-show” or need to reschedule last-minute more than once, fees for that session will be forfeit.
